Event Details
Contrast / Antithesi: Thessaloniki Photography Festival has been held in Thessaloniki since 2010.
The original concept was based on the idea of a photography festival organised and supported by its participants. It continues Photography in the Café Bars of Thessaloniki, which was organised by members of the Fotoporoi Photography Group for four consecutive years, from 2006 to 2009, with 13–20 solo exhibitions each year.
Since then, Contrast / Antithesi: Thessaloniki Photography Festival has held seven very successful editions at regular intervals, presenting large group exhibitions and productions as well as many solo exhibitions.
8TH EDITION — NOVEMBER 2026
The eighth edition of the festival in November 2026 will present 35 solo bodies of work being shown for the first time in 20 exhibition spaces in Thessaloniki.
The festival aims to showcase the work of the groups’ members, bring the public closer to photographic art and invite those interested on a photographic journey through welcoming spaces in the city.
