Could shooting with your phone be easier when the light, phone mount, and record button are all within reach? Godox makes a convincing case for that idea with the new Litemons SR20R.
This is a full-color rectangular LED light with a large central opening for a smartphone or small camera. The light sits close to the lens axis, while the housing doubles as a portable rig for vlogging, live streams, and short-form video.
A ring light that holds the camera too
The SR20R is more than a lamp on a stand. A smartphone clamp comes in the box, and a sliding 1/4-inch mount accommodates compatible small cameras. Action cameras or compact gimbals may require a separate adapter. The light can be handheld, mounted horizontally or vertically, or used as a tabletop setup.

Three 1/4-inch threaded mounting points allow different stand positions, while three cold shoes can carry a microphone, compact LED or other accessories. Built-in feet make it possible to place the light on a table. At 290 × 220 × 40mm and approximately 623g without accessories, it is portable, although the weight of the attached phone or camera still matters.

Bluetooth controls the phone camera
The more unusual feature is the built-in camera control. Over Bluetooth, buttons on the SR20R work with the smartphone’s native camera to take pictures, start recording, focus, switch cameras and change modes. Godox quotes a maximum Bluetooth range of 10 meters. On iOS, the company notes that the accessibility Zoom setting must be enabled.

White light, RGB color and 14 effects
The illuminating ring surrounds the lens to provide relatively soft frontal lighting for portraits, beauty content and product demonstrations. Godox specifies 1,510 lux at 0.5 meters and 5,600K, with CRI and TLCI ratings of approximately 96. These are manufacturer figures, not independently measured results.
Color temperature ranges from 2,800 to 6,500K, with 0–100% dimming and ±50% green/magenta correction. Full RGB operation and 14 effects—including candle, lightning, fireworks and television—extend its creative use. It remains primarily a close-range light; its quoted output should not be mistaken for the ability to illuminate large scenes.

Battery power and practical operation
The integrated 4,800mAh (34.848Wh) battery is rated for around 90 minutes at full brightness. Charging through USB-C takes approximately two hours and 20 minutes, and the panel can operate while receiving USB-C power. That is particularly useful for a stationary live stream or longer shoot.

Godox also offers other portable lighting approaches, including the inflatable LC500R Air and LR150 Air lights. The SR20R serves a different purpose: it brings light, camera mounting and phone controls together, rather than acting solely as a separate light source.

What we think
The strongest idea behind the SR20R is how it removes several small, everyday obstacles for smartphone creators: mounting the phone, lighting a face and starting a recording without reaching back to the touchscreen. For someone filming alone, these conveniences can matter far more than another animated RGB preset.
The central opening is well suited to front-on lighting, but it also produces a particular look. It cannot replace a separate light that can be moved to the side or behind the subject to give faces more depth. A phone and accessories on a rig held up for long periods may also become tiring.
At the US price of $89, the appeal lies in having lighting and a smartphone rig in one product. If you already own a good LED and a stable rig, the purchase is less compelling. For someone building a simple, portable phone-based social-video setup, however, the design makes practical sense—provided frontal light suits the intended work.
Frequently asked questions
Can it be used without a tripod?
Yes. Built-in feet allow tabletop use, and the unit can also be held by hand.
Can the light operate while charging?
Yes. Godox says the light supports continuous use with power supplied through USB-C.
Will it hold any camera?
The 1/4-inch mounting system works with compatible small cameras and mounts, but weight and size must allow safe mounting. Extra adapters for some action cameras and gimbals are sold separately.
