Event Details
Photographer and cinematographer Andreas Zacharatos presents “ROMA”, an exhibition of 35 black-and-white photographic works devoted to the Italian capital, from October 2 to 11, 2026, at Nezer Collective in Athens.
The opening will take place on Friday, October 2 at 20:00 and will coincide with the official presentation of the monograph of the same title. The exhibition is curated by photographer and columnist Tzeni Lykourezou.
Zacharatos approaches the “Eternal City” through the tradition of Straight Photography, focusing on Rome’s architecture, people and everyday scenes.

35 unique prints from Rome
The exhibition brings together 35 black-and-white works. According to the press material, each photograph will be available as a single 1/1 digital Fine Art print, signed by the photographer and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
The selection moves between urban landscape, architecture and everyday life, with Zacharatos remaining committed to direct photographic observation of the city.

The “ROMA” monograph
Alongside the opening, the new monograph “ROMA” will be presented. According to the supplied material, it is Andreas Zacharatos’ eighth publishing project. The book and his photographic work will be discussed by Vasilis Kantas, a visual communication theorist and researcher of the photographic image, photographer and photography teacher Panos Kasimis, and exhibition curator Tzeni Lykourezou.

What we think
Presenting the exhibition and the monograph together gives visitors two ways to engage with the same photographic body of work: as physical prints in the gallery and as a structured publication. The decision to offer the 35 works as unique 1/1 prints is also a notable part of the presentation.
