The Ampariza photography group presents the photography exhibition “Traveling” from June 26 to 29, 2026.
The exhibition is hosted at the PAIRNO AMPARIZA Cultural Space in Galatsi and brings to the fore different approaches to the concept of travel, through the eyes of twelve photographers.
“Traveling” is not limited to the idea of moving from one place to another. The images in the exhibition seek to capture encounters with different people, places and cultures, as well as the inner journeys born from every experience of departure and return.
Travel As A Quest
Traveling to other places, along other roads, through other spaces, toward other people who are foreign and yet somehow familiar, horizons expand and experiences gain new depth. Through this process, the creators explore the relationship between image, memory and personal experience.
The photographs do not treat travel as a simple tourist tour. Instead, they function as a record of a deeper search that leads to new readings of the world and of the self.
Returns, Memories And Self-Knowledge
The exhibition includes images from familiar and intimate places, from returns to locations that remain alive in memory and in time. The photographers also approach travel as a process of reconnecting with roots, personal experiences and memories.
At the same time, travel is presented as a path toward self-knowledge. A journey into essence, meaning and human existence, where life itself becomes a continuous voyage of discovery.
Words converse with images and serve as a bridge between what is captured by the lens and what remains unspoken.
