Viltrox is releasing three compact and affordable Air-series lenses in silver for Fujifilm X cameras.
The company’s new “Silver Trio” consists of the Viltrox AF 9mm F2.8 Air, AF 15mm F1.7 Air and AF 25mm F1.7 Air, which are now available with a silver finish for the Fujifilm X mount. These are new color versions of existing lenses rather than different optical designs.

Viltrox AF 15mm F1.7 Air
The AF 15mm F1.7 Air offers a full-frame equivalent focal length of approximately 22.5mm and an 84.9-degree angle of view.
Its bright F1.7 maximum aperture makes it more versatile in low light, while the focal length is suitable for travel, street photography, cityscapes, interiors and environmental portraits.
The optical construction includes 12 elements in 10 groups, including three extra-low dispersion elements, three high-refractive-index elements and two aspherical elements. The diaphragm uses nine blades and the minimum focusing distance is 23cm.

Viltrox AF 25mm F1.7 Air

Its focal length sits between a classic 35mm wide-angle lens and a standard 50mm lens, making it suitable for street photography, travel, everyday moments, environmental portraits, food photography and video production.
The lens features 12 optical elements in 10 groups, including one extra-low dispersion element, two high-refractive-index elements and two aspherical elements. Its F1.7 diaphragm has nine blades, while the minimum focusing distance is 30cm.
At approximately 170g and 64 x 56.4mm, it is the lightest of the three lenses. It accepts 52mm filters.
Autofocus and Shared Features
All three lenses use STM motors for autofocus and support the camera’s face- and eye-detection functions. Focusing is internal, meaning the physical length of the lens does not change during operation.
The Air series has been designed around compact dimensions and low weight. The lenses use metal mounts, transmit EXIF information to the camera and include USB-C ports for firmware updates.
