Summary
- Antigravity A1 adds Follow Me controls through a Watch Remote and Ring Remote.
- GPS and visual tracking work together, while 360° footage can be reframed later.
- A new dual-stick controller and 4G Cellular Module add two more control and transmission options.
- The Follow Me configuration with larger battery and full guards weighs 351 grams and is classified EU C1.
The Antigravity A1 now supports hands-free subject tracking with a watch and ring, a conventional dual-stick controller, and 4G backup connectivity, offering creators three new ways to capture 8K 360° aerial footage.
Announced on October 20, 2026, the additions are aimed at both new buyers and existing A1 owners. For solo filmmakers, the biggest change is simple: let the aircraft follow the action, then choose where the final camera view points during editing.
Follow Me: the watch tracks, the ring repositions the drone
The Follow Me Bundle combines the existing A1 with a Watch Remote and Ring Remote. The watch handles takeoff, follow modes and essential flight controls, with a live preview on its screen. The Vision goggles are not required for this mode.
Tracking combines visual recognition with the watch’s built-in GPS to help keep up with fast-moving subjects and brief visual obstructions. With Drag-to-Fly, the Ring Remote lets users reposition the aircraft through hand movements at distances of up to around 10 metres, according to the company.

That is where 360° recording becomes especially useful. On a cycling route, for instance, you do not have to commit to a front, rear or landscape-focused shot in the air. The full scene is captured, allowing changes of perspective and virtual camera movements afterward. This approach was central to the original Antigravity A1 launch; it now comes with a goggles-free control option.
The Watch Remote also offers Sky Genie preset moves such as Orbit and Fly Away. Its 1.72-inch display is useful for monitoring the shot, but it is not a substitute for a larger, high-resolution composition monitor. Full-coverage propeller guards are part of the new setup.

Watch the weight: the Follow Me configuration is C1
While the original A1 was promoted at 249 grams, the official Follow Me configuration with full-coverage guards and the high-capacity battery weighs 351 grams and is designated EU C1. Buyers should not assume this package retains the lighter model’s C0 classification.
Antigravity specifies up to 23 minutes of flight for this configuration under controlled test conditions with video recording disabled. Shooting in the field calls for a realistic safety margin and a check of C1 flight requirements in the EU. Propeller guards and sensing systems do not remove the need to assess obstacles and the flying area.
Remote Controller: precise dual-stick flight
The new Remote Controller caters to pilots who prefer familiar sticks. It supports Modes 1, 2 and 3, while Fixed View aligns the live image with the aircraft’s heading. A Virtual Gimbal helps users preview and adjust composition during flight, with Free View remaining available for exploring the 360° scene.

That matters for planned shots that require a predictable flight line and camera move. Unlike Follow Me operation, this mode requires Vision goggles. Control flexibility was one of the key distinctions in the Antigravity A1 versus DJI Avata 360 comparison; the new controller gives the A1 another option.

Cellular Module: 4G as a backup connection
The Cellular Module adds 4G as a backup to the A1’s OmniLink 360 video link. If the primary radio connection suffers interference, the cellular network may help maintain transmission, provided coverage and an eligible data service are available. The module includes an integrated eSIM.

Only a drone-side module is required for Enhanced Transmission. Vision goggles can use 4G through a local hotspot or an optional second module for their own cellular connection. Service, data plans and coverage vary by region. A 4G fallback does not authorise beyond-visual-line-of-sight flights or override local operating rules.
Price and availability
Antigravity announced availability of the new options from October 20, 2026, through its official store, with regional differences. An official European listing shows the Follow Me Accessory Kit at €359, alongside a displayed 20% promotional price of €287.20. Eligibility and stock should be checked in the relevant regional store.
The Accessory Kit does not include a new aircraft. Complete A1 Follow Me bundles are also offered, while the conventional controller and 4G module serve separate needs. A single confirmed Greek price has not been established for every configuration.
What we think
For solo shooters, the compelling part is being able to track yourself without wearing goggles or holding a controller. On a bike ride, a run or a personal documentary shoot, that could save a substantial amount of setup. And because the recording is spherical, you are not locked into one camera angle after landing.
We would not treat 8K 360° as equivalent to an ordinary 8K shot after a heavy crop to 16:9 or 9:16. Those pixels cover the entire sphere, leaving less detail in the final framed view. Plan how close the aircraft will need to fly, and what happens when the subject disappears behind trees or other obstacles.
The jump from 249 to 351 grams with the guards and larger battery also deserves attention. It affects how we plan a compliant flight in Europe. That is something to factor in before ordering the kit, not something to discover at the location.
The two-stick remote solves a different problem: if a shot needs a repeatable flight path, traditional controls can be more useful than gestures. The 4G module may add resilience to the link, but it is not a reason to ignore visual-line-of-sight requirements or flight limits.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need Vision goggles for Follow Me?
No. Follow Me uses the Watch Remote and Ring Remote. The new conventional dual-stick Remote Controller still requires Vision goggles.
Can I upgrade an A1 I already own?
Yes. Antigravity offers a separate Follow Me Accessory Kit for existing owners, without requiring them to purchase another drone.
Do I need two Cellular Modules for 4G transmission?
No. A module on the aircraft is enough for Enhanced Transmission. Vision goggles can use a hotspot or an optional second module.
