A camera small enough to fit in your palm appeared at No. 1 in a B&H new-release listing, ahead of two mirrorless models. The Fujifilm instax Pal 2 is attracting attention with its tiny size and retro photographic experience.
Its prominent position became a talking point in October 2026, bringing another side of the camera market into focus: small devices designed for spontaneous photography and creative fun.
What happened at B&H
The Pal 2 appeared at the top of the B&H new-release display, with two mirrorless cameras mentioned behind it. Seeing such a tiny retro model among launches of more elaborate camera systems makes for an intriguing contrast.
The appeal goes beyond the ranking. The Pal 2 is made for people who want a distinctive little camera for trips, walks, time with friends and photographic moments worth keeping.
Why the Pal 2 stands out
Fujifilm introduced the second-generation Pal in September, and the Pal 2 and its new features. Its position at the top of a new-release ranking shows how much attention a small, distinctive camera can attract.
With an optical viewfinder, one-inch screen, physical controls and 30 creative effects, the Pal 2 makes taking pictures feel immediate and playful. Its recommended European price is €169.99, and photos can be transferred to a smartphone via Bluetooth or USB-C.

What we think
There is something appealing about the Pal 2: it makes photography feel like a small everyday adventure again. There is no need to assemble a kit or think about an entire lens system. You put a camera in your pocket, look through the viewfinder and take the picture.
We also like the emphasis Fujifilm places on creativity through controls built into the camera. Thirty effects and multiple framing options encourage experimentation without making every photograph begin with editing on a phone.
Taking the top spot in a prominent new-release list is noteworthy because it puts a tiny camera alongside major product launches. The Pal 2 attracts attention through its personality and the experience it offers. That is a welcome reason to talk more about the pleasure of making photographs.
