Viltrox has officially launched four compact full-frame autofocus primes in its Air series for L-Mount, covering focal lengths from 14mm to 50mm with European prices starting at €189.
The launch covers the AF 14mm F4 Air L, AF 20mm F2.8 Air L, AF 40mm F2.5 Air L and AF 50mm F2 Air L. The four lenses were previewed shortly beforehand at IBC 2026 in Amsterdam, ahead of the official September 22 launch.
Four focal lengths for different workflows
The 14mm F4 is the ultra-wide option, with a 112.6° field of view and a 0.13 m minimum focusing distance. It targets landscapes, architecture, interiors and vlogging while weighing 172 g.
The 20mm F2.8 offers a more flexible wide-angle perspective, weighs 159 g, focuses down to 0.19 m and reaches 0.17x maximum magnification. Viltrox positions it for travel, street, interiors and environmental portraits.
The 40mm F2.5 provides a more natural perspective for everyday photography, documentary work and lifestyle video. It weighs 169 g and focuses from 0.34 m, while the 50mm F2 adds a brighter aperture for portraits, details, interviews and low-light work, at 205 g.
Air-series design and autofocus for stills and video
All four lenses use STM autofocus. Viltrox lists native L-Mount support with in-camera lens corrections, while the compact, lightweight bodies are aimed at everyday stills and video workflows.
The design includes a metal mount, USB-C firmware updating and a water- and dirt-resistant coating on the front element.
