The photography exhibition “My City” by Group 28mm presents a human-centered topography of Corfu through faces, moments and small stories from everyday life.
The opening took place on Friday, September 11, with a large public turnout at the “Thanos Christou” Art Hall of the Municipal Gallery of Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands. The exhibition runs until October 10, 2026.
The photographs look beyond Corfu’s historical and touristic identity, seeking the place through relationships, daily routes and moments that often go unnoticed.
A human topography of Corfu
Through the different viewpoints of Group 28mm’s members, the city is approached as a living space of people, relationships and memory. The images record faces, encounters and small stories, creating a more personal reading of everyday life on the island.
The approach does not focus only on the familiar visual identity of the place, but also on what happens between its recognizable landmarks: movements, distances, relationships and details that shape how the city is experienced by those who live there.
