The group photography exhibition “The Invisible Thread” brings together 26 artPhotoClub photographers at Melanythros Art Space in Athens from October 2 to 4, 2026.
The anniversary exhibition is built around three photographic fields — urban landscape, portraiture and travel photography — using the idea of an “invisible thread” as a common axis connecting different paths, experiences and ways of seeing.
The opening takes place on Friday, October 2, from 18:00 to 22:00. On Saturday and Sunday, the exhibition will be open from 10:00–14:00 and 18:00–22:00 at Melanythros Art Space, 4 Zappa Street, Athens.
From the city and travel to an encounter with the Other
According to the exhibition concept, wandering through city streets meets the journey toward the unknown and, ultimately, an encounter with the Other. The theme acts as an internal connection between images that begin from different photographic starting points but meet in the creator’s relationship with space, people and experience.
Twenty years of artistic and educational activity
The exhibition marks two decades of artPhotoClub, from 2006 to 2026. Within that context, “The Invisible Thread” connects analogue memory with today’s digital and post-digital image, as well as the technological and aesthetic changes explored through seminars, workshops and themed competitions.
The project is not presented as a retrospective summary of those twenty years. Instead, it treats photography as an evolving field in which individual expression can become a collective experience and a shared dialogue.
