Six wins at the main ceremony
“Widow’s Bay” won Outstanding Comedy Series and five more of the night’s major awards. Matthew Rhys won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, Kate O’Flynn took Supporting Actress and Stephen Root won Supporting Actor.
Katie Dippold won Writing for a Comedy Series, while Hiro Murai took the directing award. Dippold, O’Flynn and Root earned their first individual Emmy wins, and Murai became the first Asian creator to win Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series.

Rhys also won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for “The Beast in Me” on the same night. The double made him the first person to win two Emmys for leading performances in a single year.
His night went one step further. As an executive producer, he also shared in the Outstanding Comedy Series win for “Widow’s Bay,” bringing his 2026 total to three Emmys.
