If you miss smartphones that genuinely fit in a pocket, the Enough Phone proposes a 5.3-inch display, a single 50MP Sony main camera and a battery you can replace yourself.
Developed by the team behind Dumbwireless and SLEKE, the device is seeking Kickstarter funding until December 4, 2026. It is not yet a tested, commercially available handset: promotional imagery shows the design and a full-size non-working prototype.
A 5.3-inch screen without giving up essential connectivity
Enough targets dimensions of approximately 133 × 64 × 12mm and a 5.3-inch LCD with a resolution of 1,520 × 720 pixels. Rather than chasing the biggest screen or the highest resolution, the design prioritizes a phone that is comfortable to handle with one hand.

The planned hardware includes a MediaTek Dimensity 7500 chipset, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage expandable via microSD. Connectivity comprises 5G/4G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and USB-C, with both a physical SIM and eSIM supported. A fingerprint reader is built into the power button.
One 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera instead of three or four lenses
The rear camera uses Sony’s 50MP IMX766 sensor and is designed to sit nearly flush with the back panel. A 32MP front camera is planned for selfies and video calls. Full details of the lens, RAW support, optical stabilization and final video-recording modes have not yet been published.

For photographers, that decision cuts both ways. One main camera may be enough for everyday shooting without unnecessary extras, but it does not replace the framing flexibility of an ultra-wide or a true telephoto lens. Even the OnePlus Ace 7 Pro with a periscope zoom shows how differently smartphone imaging tools can be configured. A 50MP number alone cannot establish the Enough Phone’s image quality.
A replaceable battery and the choice of Android or OdysseyOS
The rear cover can be unscrewed so users can replace the battery themselves. Its target capacity is 3,500mAh, with the final specification still to be confirmed. The back panel uses recycled polycarbonate, and the company is aiming to provide software and security updates through 2032.

Buyers are expected to choose between standard Android 17 and SLEKE’s OdysseyOS, a more restricted environment designed to reduce distractions. For a photographer who also uses a phone as a backup camera or image-transfer device, the operating-system choice matters: it is worth checking that essential shooting, editing and file-delivery apps work on the selected software.
Camera handling can also differ significantly across compact phones. The Sony Xperia 10 VII with its dedicated physical shutter button takes a different approach by giving users a more direct camera control. No equivalent dedicated feature has been announced for the Enough Phone.

Price and availability
The Enough Phone Kickstarter campaign ends on December 4, 2026. Announced pledge prices are $399 for a limited Super Early Bird tier, $449 for Early Bird and $499 for the standard campaign tier, subject to availability. The planned post-campaign retail price is $599. No official European price was found.
According to the team’s roadmap, the first working samples are due in December 2026, mass production in April 2027 and shipments in May 2027, provided funding, testing and certifications progress as planned. Backing a crowdfunding campaign is not the same as purchasing a product already in stock, and estimated delivery is not guaranteed.
What we think
It is refreshing to see someone revisit the small smartphone without turning it into a calls-and-texts-only device. A genuinely pocketable phone matters when you are already carrying a camera, lenses and a gear bag. A battery that can be changed by removing a few screws is also more useful over the long term than another headline feature.
Having only one camera is not automatically a deal-breaker. A good primary focal length can be enough for a quick street photo. But photograph architecture in a tight space, or try for a tighter frame without a digital crop, and the lack of additional lenses will matter. We would also want specific answers on RAW, stabilization and video before treating Enough as a serious compact backup camera.
At $499 for campaign backers, this is not inexpensive simply because it is small. What you are paying for is portability, repairability and the option of a less distracting software experience. If those matter more to you than having an entire set of camera lenses, Enough is a project worth following.
Frequently asked questions
Can users replace the battery themselves?
Yes. The design uses a screw-secured rear panel that allows owners to replace the battery. The final battery capacity is still being determined.
Does it support RAW, optical stabilization or 4K video?
The published official specifications do not yet confirm these features. The Sony IMX766 sensor alone does not guarantee that a particular phone implements them.
When will it be available in Greece?
The team is targeting shipments to international backers from May 2027, but there is no separate Greek launch announcement or official euro price. Crowdfunding risks and possible delays apply.
