One day before LEX’s major concert in Ioannina, the 18th Photometria International Photography Festival presents Dimitris Mougos’ exhibition “A Couple of Photos” at the Photometria Photography Center.
The exhibition forms a photographic narrative around collective memory, friendship and artistic creation, drawing on images Mougos has made over many years while documenting a circle of people and relationships connected to Thessaloniki’s urban environment, music production and live concerts.
A personal archive of people and relationships
Mougos’ photographs bring together everyday moments, the urban landscape and the relationships within a group of friends who share life and creative work. Private and public moments coexist, while the photography moves between documentation and a personal point of view.
The body of work develops as a personal archive of people, moments and relationships, as well as a narrative about friendship and the strength of being together in contrast to the loneliness of urban life. The images aim not only to record what happened, but also to preserve the feeling of a shared experience: music, companionship and creation.
The exhibition in Ioannina
The exhibition is hosted at the Photometria Photography Center (PPC, ground floor) from 18 September to 28 November 2026. It is curated by Dimitris Mougos and Panagiotis Pappas.
The PPC is open Wednesday to Friday from 17:00 to 21:00 and Saturday from 11:00 to 16:00. On Saturday 19 September, the day of LEX’s concert in Ioannina, the venue will welcome visitors from 11:00 to 16:00, next to Zosimades Stadium.
