Photometria 2026 brings a three-day programme of six documentary screenings to Ioannina from Friday 2 to Sunday 4 October, with free admission.
The first four screenings are presented in collaboration with the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival and its “Destination – Journey” initiative, which takes selected Greek films from the 28th edition to cities across Greece. On Sunday, the programme concludes with two documentaries by photographer Sirkka-Liisa Konttinen.

The 28th TDF “Destination – Journey” initiative
The Thessaloniki Documentary Festival’s “Destination – Journey” initiative takes selected Greek documentaries from the 28th edition to cities across Greece. The 2026 programme began in April and runs through the autumn, with 44 Greek films participating in the initiative overall.
Photometria presents four of those titles: “Mary”, “The Greek Experiment”, “Born Twice” and “Your Multiple Reflection”, giving audiences in Ioannina access to different personal and social narratives from contemporary Greek documentary production.
Sirkka-Liisa Konttinen closes the programme
The third day is dedicated to Sirkka-Liisa Konttinen, with screenings of “Byker” and “Today I’m with you”. The two works create a direct link between Photometria’s photographic identity and the narrative power of moving image and documentary.
