The 18th Photometria International Photography Festival presents the group exhibition “Parallel Voices”, bringing together nine photographers from Greece and abroad in the outdoor area of Thomas Tower in Ioannina.
The exhibition emerged from Photometria’s annual international Open Call, through which nine complete portfolios were selected for their distinct narrative and aesthetic approaches. The participating artists move between personal experience and introspection, social commentary, collective memory and everyday life.
Nine portfolios, nine distinct paths
The exhibition features Alex Bex (FR/US) with “Memories of Dust”, Giuseppe Cardoni (IT) with “The Magic of the Circus”, Vladimir Karamazov (BG) with “In Their Place”, Sveta Kaverina (RU) with “The Three of Us”, Sarah Malakoff (US) with “Personal History”, Kirill Muniabin (RU) with “MENlancholy”, Stefanos Paikos (GR) with “Reaching for Dusk”, Danae Panagiotidi (GR) with “We Live Inside a Dream”, and George Stergiopoulos (GR) with “The Wall Fell but Nobody Noticed”.
Presented in a public outdoor setting, the works can function as parallel visual narratives while also forming a broader collective experience, bringing contemporary photographic practice beyond the boundaries of a conventional gallery space.
