OnePlus has brought the Turbo 6Vs to China with a striking 9,000mAh battery, but anyone hoping for a new camera generation or a meaningful upgrade over the Turbo 6V will find little to celebrate.

The phone appeared in the Chinese store without a major launch event. It even shares the PLY110 model code with the Turbo 6V introduced in January 2026, while adding a new orange finish alongside Nova White.

What has changed since the OnePlus Turbo 6V?

Very little in practical terms: the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, 6.78-inch AMOLED, camera hardware, battery and charging capabilities are unchanged. The Turbo 6Vs is listed only with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, whereas the Turbo 6V came in several configurations, reaching 12GB/512GB.

The most striking commercial difference is the price: the new model is listed at CNY 3,699, whereas the original announced retail price for the Turbo 6V 12GB/256GB was CNY 2,099. These are launch list prices, not a comparison of current promotional offers, but the gap is considerable.

50MP OIS camera and video up to 4K/30p

The 50MP main camera has an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilisation (OIS), useful for shooting at slower shutter speeds and achieving steadier footage. A 2MP monochrome camera sits beside it, while a 16MP front-facing camera handles selfies and video calls.

Video recording tops out at 4K at 30 frames per second, with 1080p available at up to 60fps. There is no dedicated ultrawide or telephoto camera, a meaningful limitation for people who regularly shoot video or want more framing options.

The different imaging priorities become obvious beside the OnePlus 16 with a 200MP camera and 3x telephoto, which puts much greater emphasis on capture versatility. The Turbo 6Vs is chiefly about battery endurance.

9,000mAh battery, 144Hz screen and durability

The 9,000mAh battery supports 80W wired fast charging and up to 27W wired reverse charging to power compatible accessories. Bypass charging is also supported, allowing the handset to draw power while in use rather than relying exclusively on charging the battery.

The flat AMOLED screen offers a 2,772 × 1,272 resolution, refresh rates up to 144Hz and a claimed peak brightness of 1,800 nits. Inside are 12GB of LPDDR4X memory and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, while the software is ColorOS 16.

The handset weighs approximately 215g, is 8.5mm thick and carries IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ingress-protection ratings. Those are practical qualities away from the studio, but do not make this a purpose-built underwater camera.

Price and availability

The OnePlus Turbo 6Vs was listed in China at CNY 3,699 for its sole 12GB/256GB configuration, in Orange Heart and Nova White. The Chinese store listing has been shown as sold out, with no announced restock date.

No official European launch or price has been announced for Greece or the EU. The Chinese price should not be treated as a European retail price.

What we think

For a creator spending long days on location, 9,000mAh is more useful than another impressive-looking figure on a spec sheet. Navigation, file transfers, behind-the-scenes clips and constant communication can drain an ordinary smartphone surprisingly quickly. Being able to charge another device over a cable could genuinely help when packing a camera bag.

For photography, though, this is not a fresh proposition. A stabilised main camera is welcome, but without an ultrawide or telephoto and with a 4K/30p ceiling, creative options remain limited. If better imaging is the goal, there is nothing in the stated hardware to justify upgrading from a Turbo 6V.

The pricing makes this relaunch stranger still. When the hardware is effectively unchanged, we would choose based on the actual street price and after-sales support — not the extra “s” in the name.

Frequently asked questions

Can the OnePlus Turbo 6Vs record 4K video at 60fps?

No. Based on the published technical specifications of the shared PLY110 hardware, 4K capture is limited to 30fps, while 60fps recording is available at 1080p.

Is there an official price or release in Greece?

No. The CNY 3,699 price applies to the 12GB/256GB Chinese model; no official Greek launch has been announced.
