RugOne introduced the device on September 5 at IFA 2026 in Berlin. The detachable module can be worn as a pendant or mounted on a helmet, handlebar or strap, while the phone serves as its control screen, file-transfer hub and charging source.
The idea differs from conventional camera modules because the action camera is stored inside the phone itself and continues to operate independently after it is removed. Unlike the HONOR Robot Phone, which keeps its camera attached to a motorized gimbal, the Xsnap 7 Pro prioritizes POV recording from different mounting positions.
A 39g action camera inside the phone
The Xsnap Go module uses a Type 1/2.7 OV-OS05A10 sensor and an f/2.4 lens with a 133-degree field of view and a 14mm full-frame-equivalent focal length. RugOne also lists distortion correction for the ultrawide field of view.

SteadyX electronic stabilization works with 360° Horizon Lock to keep the horizon level as the camera rotates. The Xsnap Go app provides wireless monitoring, control and file transfer at up to 50m, according to RugOne’s laboratory measurements.
Manual controls include exposure compensation, white balance, shutter speed, ISO, field of view and video bitrate. Users can also choose recording duration and intervals for time-lapse or interval shooting.
A 40-minute runtime and 64GB of storage

The phone’s 50MP main camera uses a Samsung GN9 sensor, an f/1.88 lens and a combination of OIS and EIS. The main camera records video at up to 4K and 60 fps.

Inside is a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 5G, with an octa-core CPU running at up to 3.25GHz, Mali-G720 MC7 graphics and an NPU 880.
