Three new stops from September 26
In Lodi, Italy, the World Press Photo Exhibition 2026 is hosted at Fondazione Banca Popolare di Lodi – sala Bipielle Arte and remains open through October 25.
In Copenhagen, the exhibition is presented at PRESSEN, Vester Voldgade 33, from September 26 through October 18.
In Dortmund, Germany, the new stop is at Kulturort Depot, Immermannstr. 29, and also runs from September 26 through October 25.
42 awarded photographers from a field of 57,376 images
This year’s edition emerged from 57,376 photographs submitted by 3,747 photographers in 141 countries. The 42 awarded photographers were selected by an independent jury, with the touring exhibition presenting the photojournalism and documentary photography recognized in the 2026 contest.
The awarded work addresses stories around war and crisis, the effects of climate change, civic action, rights, resistance and everyday realities that can remain outside the main international news cycle.
The global tour continues
The World Press Photo Exhibition 2026 had its world premiere in Amsterdam in April and is now touring more than 60 cities worldwide. The new stops in Lodi, Copenhagen and Dortmund strengthen the European leg of the tour, while the official calendar also includes exhibitions outside Europe.
