Nikon has announced the Z5IIC, a new 24.5 MP full-frame mirrorless camera combining EXPEED 7, up to 7.5 stops of in-body stabilisation and N-RAW with a simpler everyday shooting concept.
The camera uses the Nikon Z mount and, according to Nikon, offers performance comparable with the Z5II while adopting 15 Scene modes, Auto mode, a dedicated Imaging Recipes button and a flat-top design.

24.5 MP full-frame sensor and EXPEED 7
The Z5IIC uses a 35.9 × 23.9 mm FX CMOS sensor with 24.5 million effective pixels and Nikon’s EXPEED 7 processor. Standard stills sensitivity runs from ISO 100 to 64,000 and NEF RAW is supported.
Five-axis in-body stabilisation is rated at up to 7.5 stops at the centre of the frame and up to 6 stops at the periphery under Nikon’s CIPA 2024 test conditions.
Autofocus for 10 subject types and up to 30 fps
The AF system supports 3D-tracking and recognition of 10 subject types, including a Fish detection option. Continuous shooting reaches approximately 14 fps, while High-Speed Frame Capture+ can reach 30 fps.
4K/60p, 12-bit N-RAW and N-Log
The Z5IIC records 4K UHD up to 60p and Full HD up to 120p. 4K at 50p/60p uses the DX image area, while internal 12-bit N-RAW, 10-bit H.265/HEVC and N-Log are supported.
Creator tools include a REC lamp, red recording frame, Product Review Mode, 4× and 5× Full HD slow motion and UVC/UAC support for webcam use over USB.
15 Scene modes, Imaging Recipes and Film Grain
The Z5IIC is Nikon’s first full-frame mirrorless camera with Scene modes on the mode dial. It offers 15 preset scenes, fast access to Imaging Recipes through Nikon Imaging Cloud and a Film Grain option for stills and video.
Body, display and storage
The camera has a 3.2-inch vari-angle touchscreen and uses magnesium alloy in key parts of the body, with dust- and drip-resistant design considerations. Dimensions are approximately 134 × 80.5 × 72 mm. Body-only weight is about 538 g, or about 620 g with battery and memory card.
