The Yashica Crew is a compact digital camera with a 6x optical zoom, a 180° flip screen and a quoted weight of 126 grams, designed by the company around photography with friends and shared travel experiences.
The Crew name refers to friend groups, production teams and travel companions. Yashica is taking pre-orders in two colours, black and silver, with a retractable lens that packs into the body when the camera is switched off.
A retractable lens with 6x optical zoom
The lens extends automatically when the camera powers on and provides 6x optical zoom. The Crew separately offers 3x digital zoom; the latter is not additional optical zoom.
Optical zoom is a specific difference from the Yashica Tank with its flip screen, which offers digital zoom. For the Crew, Yashica pairs the retractable lens with a body thickness of 25.7 mm when switched off and quotes a weight of 126 g.
A 3-inch screen that faces forwards
The display is a 3.0-inch, 16:9 LCD that flips upwards through 180°. The company lists selfies, group pictures, vlogging and shooting from different angles among its uses.
Official images show the display raised above the body and facing the lens side. This arrangement lets users see their framing when photographing themselves or talking in front of the camera.

A 13MP sensor and JPEG photographs up to 36MP
The Crew uses a 1/3.06-inch-type sensor with a native resolution of 13MP. The official page lists JPEG photographs up to 36MP: that is the maximum file resolution, rather than the sensor’s native resolution.
Photography features also include seven built-in colour filters. The purchase page specifies JPEG as the still-image format.
Native 2.7K video and recording up to 4K/60p
For video, Yashica’s detailed presentation lists native 2.7K and recording up to 4K at 60 frames per second. The purchase page specifies MP4 as the video file format.
The company distinguishes native 2.7K from the maximum 4K/60p setting without explaining on those pages how the 4K output is produced. The two descriptions are therefore kept separate here.
A removable 700mAh battery and USB-C
Power comes from a removable 700mAh lithium-ion battery. The camera has a USB-C port for charging. The purchase page does not accompany that capacity with a specific shot count or recording duration per charge.

Price and availability
The official online store lists the Crew in black and silver at HK$1,320, in Hong Kong dollars. It is available for pre-order, with shipping scheduled from the week of 26 October 2026.
No official European price was found. More information here.
What we think
The Crew’s distinguishing feature is the combination of optical zoom and a flip screen in a small body. When assessing its specifications, the reference points are the sensor’s 13MP and Yashica’s explicit distinction between native 2.7K and recording up to 4K.
