AGM has introduced the CAM 1, a tiny action camera weighing just 39g that records 2K video, withstands water and starts at €39.99 in Europe.
AGM’s first action camera is aimed more at people who want to capture everyday moments and first-person (POV) footage without extra effort than at filmmakers looking for a sophisticated production tool. You can wear it on your chest, attach it to a compatible metal surface and use its built-in light.
2K video, 12MP stills and a bright screen
The CAM 1 records 2K video, with 1080p and 720p options, and captures still photographs at up to 12MP. Footage is stored on a microSD card up to 256GB; a card is not necessarily supplied with the basic package. There is also a built-in microphone for recorded audio.
A rear 1.45-inch, 600-nit display lets you check framing before recording. Four physical buttons make the camera easier to use with gloves or wet hands, while a front-facing LED provides light for nearby subjects when available light is limited.

Waterproof to 2m without a separate housing
AGM lists IP68 and IP69K ratings and MIL-STD-810H compliance. The camera is designed for rain, dust and water exposure, with a claimed ability to operate underwater at depths of up to 2m without a protective case, subject to the manufacturer’s stated conditions.
That durability is mainly about convenience: cycling in the rain or recording close to water without extra equipment. The 2m rating should not be mistaken for unrestricted underwater filmmaking capabilities.

Magnetic mounting for hands-free POV footage
At 39g, the camera is light enough to wear on your chest with the magnetic necklace mount. It can also attach to compatible metal surfaces or a bicycle mount, capturing angles that would be awkward with a larger action camera.
The approach is familiar from wearable cameras like the DJI Osmo Nano, while the detachable camera built into the RugOne Xsnap 7 Pro offers a different take on magnetic POV shooting. AGM is placing its emphasis on low cost and straightforward operation rather than a comparable set of advanced production features.

80-minute battery life and an optional charging dock
The built-in 500mAh battery is rated by AGM for up to 80 minutes of 2K recording with the LED switched off. Charging takes place over USB-C, with an indicator light showing charge status.
An optional charging dock has its own 800mAh battery, considerably extending recording time and providing mounting points for tripods and compatible accessories. According to the company’s announcement, the more comprehensive accessory package also includes a hat clip, bicycle mount and 16GB microSD card.

Price and availability
AGM’s European product page lists the CAM 1 for pre-order at €39.99–€49.99, depending on the package selected. Buyers should check availability and package contents before placing an order.

What we think
A camera that weighs little more than an accessory and costs less than €50 is appealing precisely because you do not need to plan an entire shoot around it. Wear it, attach it to a mount and quickly capture a journey, a task or a POV angle that you might not have bothered filming otherwise.
At 2K, of course, this is not a replacement for an Osmo Nano or a modern 4K action camera on jobs that require extensive color grading. For walking or cycling footage, we would especially want to see real stabilization, audio and low-light samples. An LED is helpful for nearby subjects, but it does not turn such a tiny camera into a specialist night-shooting tool.
For uncomplicated spontaneous family memories and social clips, the CAM 1 makes a lot of sense. For professional shoots, we would see it more as an inexpensive supplementary angle than a primary camera.
Frequently asked questions
Does it need a protective case underwater?
Not for the stated waterproof rating of up to 2m, provided the manufacturer’s usage conditions are followed. Protection beyond that depth has not been specified.
Is a memory card included?
The camera accepts microSD cards up to 256GB. AGM lists a 16GB card in the Deluxe package with the charging dock and accessories, but not necessarily in the basic version.
