The solo photography exhibition “Random Nautica” by Eugenia Aravantinou opens in Lefkada as part of the Municipality’s Cultural Summer 2026.
As part of the Municipality of Lefkada’s Cultural Summer 2026 and the “Celebrations of Literature and Arts”, the exhibition will be presented at the Theodoros Stamos Art Gallery. The opening is scheduled for August 1, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.
An inner journey through photography
With “Random Nautica”, Aravantinou moves away from direct portraiture to explore inner landscapes. Themes of identity and gaze are transformed into symbolic, almost mythological imagery.
The series unfolds as a journey through memory and the human soul. Returning to her own roots, the artist maps personal history alongside universal human experience. Her photographs are created during the photographic act itself rather than through digital compositing, emphasizing the transformative nature of photography.
About the artist
Eugenia Aravantinou was born in Patras and has lived and worked in Palairos since 2014.
Since 1995, her work has been presented in numerous group exhibitions, including at the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art in Thessaloniki, the Athens School of Fine Arts and other art venues. Her artistic practice focuses on identity and human interaction.
She has received awards from the Hellenic Transplant Organization, Roche Hellas SA and the University Hospital of Patras. In recent years she has also organized self-awareness and creative photography workshops.
