A camera flash weighing just 23 grams and small enough for your pocket? Godox has introduced the iM10, a remarkably compact flash for photographers who want a little extra light without carrying a conventional speedlight.
Measuring 40 × 40 × 30 mm, the new iFlash iM10 targets compact and mirrorless cameras as well as compatible film cameras. Its appeal is simplicity and minimal size rather than maximum output or automatic exposure features.
Four manual output levels and no TTL
The iM10 provides four output settings: 1/1, 1/2, 1/4 and 1/8. Photographers choose the level with the top controls and adjust camera exposure accordingly. There is no TTL automatic flash metering or HSS, and the fixed flash head cannot tilt or swivel for bounce lighting.

This is a direct-flash tool, mainly for nearby subjects, indoor snapshots and night portraits. Godox does not publish a guide number, so its maximum usable illumination distance cannot be determined from the official specifications.
One small flash for different cameras
A universal single-contact hot shoe allows the flash to be triggered by many camera models without different brand-specific versions. Actual compatibility still depends on a camera supporting this type of flash sync; having a physical shoe alone does not guarantee it will work.

If you need TTL, HSS or more flexible lighting, a model such as the compact Godox iT30 Pro with TTL and HSS belongs to a different category. The iM10 is not designed for multi-flash remote setups or bouncing light from a wall or ceiling.
USB-C and roughly 350 full-power flashes
A built-in 3.7 V, 125 mAh lithium battery is rated for approximately 350 full-power flashes. Godox claims a recycling time of about three seconds at 1/1 power, while charging over USB-C takes approximately one hour and ten minutes.

You can charge from a suitable power bank, but the battery cannot be swapped for a fresh one mid-session. When shooting fast action, waiting three seconds between full-power flashes is a meaningful limitation.

Price and availability
In the United States, B&H lists the Godox iM10 at $24.90 as a pre-order. Godox has not provided a price or a specific release date on its official product page. No official European or Greek price was verified.

What we think
We like the idea of a flash that simply lives in your bag without taking up meaningful space or weight. During an evening walk or a casual portrait of friends, a quick burst of light can change the photograph more than another camera setting.
But it is important to understand the trade-off. The iM10 will not light a large room, bounce off the ceiling or adjust its power automatically as subject distance changes. With only four steps, you will spend more time thinking about ISO, aperture and how far you stand from the person you are photographing.
For someone who enjoys the familiar direct-flash look and carries a compact camera, that may be the whole point. For weddings, events or fast-moving subjects, we would choose a larger flash with more power and control.
Frequently asked questions
Does the Godox iM10 work with every camera?
Not necessarily. It needs a compatible hot shoe that can trigger the flash through its central contact. Check compatibility with your particular camera model before buying.
Does it offer TTL or HSS?
No. Output is set manually in four steps, and shutter speed must stay within the camera’s supported flash sync limit.
Can I tilt the flash head for bounce lighting?
No. Its head is fixed and primarily intended for direct illumination of the subject.
