A mouse with a touchscreen instead of rows of buttons? The Arctic Fox Super Mouse puts shortcuts, macros and app controls on a display positioned beneath your palm.
Unveiled on October 27, 2026, the unusual peripheral is being funded through Kickstarter. Its concept is relevant to photographers and editors who spend hours in Photoshop or Premiere Pro, where repetitive commands can be collected into custom control panels.
A 3.1-inch screen built into a mouse
The Super Mouse has a 3.1-inch, 720 × 720-pixel color touchscreen beneath its standard mouse buttons and scroll wheel. Its interface can present up to 16 shortcuts, macros or app launchers. Two additional physical Hyper Keys can also be assigned custom actions.
The display can double as a touchpad or virtual keyboard with swipe-style text entry. Arctic Fox also highlights clipboard controls, brightness and volume sliders, Google Calendar reminders, focus timers and voice dictation.

Custom controls for photo editing and video workflows
Using Flow Desktop on Windows and macOS, owners can configure shortcuts, macros, profiles and context-sensitive layouts for different apps. Premiere Pro users, for example, could group playback and editing commands, while photographers could build a panel of frequently used functions where their applications allow shortcut assignment.
This follows the familiar logic of Adobe Photoshop keyboard shortcuts: putting frequently used tools and commands within easier reach. The appeal of a display is that on-screen labels can change between profiles rather than requiring users to memorize every key combination.
The Super Mouse also has a gyroscope for tilt-based input and a built-in microphone for voice dictation. Arctic Fox describes local voice processing, although independent testing of its responsiveness and reliability has not been established.

Connectivity, price and availability
The mouse uses a wired USB-C connection and offers no wireless mode. Arctic Fox lists Windows and macOS support, dimensions of 109 × 91 × 29 mm, and three colors: yellow, white and gray.
The Kickstarter campaign opened with pledge tiers starting at $199, while Arctic Fox lists a $249 price on its own website. Initial backer shipments are estimated for February 2027. No official European price was found, and delivery charges or import costs will depend on the order. As with any crowdfunding campaign, estimated delivery dates are not guaranteed.
What we think
For a photographer who regularly switches Photoshop tools or an editor who repeats the same actions hundreds of times, visible shortcuts on a mouse sound genuinely useful. App-specific layouts could reduce time spent digging through menus and remembering complicated key combinations.
The ergonomic question is harder to ignore. The screen sits where your palm normally rests, so using it may mean shifting your grip. If you have to do that every few seconds, a separate macro pad could be a more comfortable option.
Price matters too. At $199 for Kickstarter backers, this has to earn its place through measurable time savings. We would most want to test how quickly profiles change, how reliably macros fire, and whether the mouse remains comfortable during long editing or retouching sessions.
Frequently asked questions
Can it be used wirelessly?

Do shortcuts require separate software?
Yes. Arctic Fox uses Flow Desktop to configure macros, profiles and app-specific controls on Windows and macOS.
Is it already available to buy in Greece?
It is currently offered through Kickstarter pledges starting at $199, with estimated shipments in February 2027. Official retail pricing for Greece has not been confirmed.
