The company announced the Field Bracket as a camera-specific accessory that enables fast switching between landscape and portrait orientation while allowing users to add or remove components without tools. It expands the traditional role of an L-bracket into a flexible camera platform.
Modular Design
The system is built around a precision-machined recycled aluminum baseplate designed for specific camera bodies. Its removable upright connects through the new Field Latch mechanism, allowing photographers to reconfigure the setup in seconds.
More Than an L-Bracket
Optional accessories include a Cheese Plate with multiple mounting points, new hand and finger straps, and compatibility with Peak Design Capture, camera straps, and ARCA-compatible tripod systems.
Integrated Camera Tracking
A dedicated slot accommodates the optional Beacon Finder Tag, compatible with both Apple Find My and Google Find Hub. The tracker fits flush inside the baseplate, offers IP67 protection, and runs for up to six months on a CR2025 battery.
Pricing and Availability
The Field Bracket debuted through Peak Design’s latest Kickstarter campaign. It carries a suggested retail price of $149.95 and will initially support selected Sony, Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, and Leica cameras, while accessories are sold separately.
