Event Details
Salamina becomes an open photographic field on Sunday, September 27, 2026, with an organized route through five historic and picturesque locations across the island.
The Salamina Photography Club “Fotometrisi,” under the auspices of the Municipality of Salamina and as part of the Salaminia 2026 events, is organizing Salamina Photo Walk 2026 on Sunday, September 27, starting at 10:00.
The event connects photographic creation with an opportunity to discover places that reflect different aspects of Salamina’s history and identity. It is open to photography clubs and groups as well as individual creators, whether they photograph as amateurs or professionals.
The route in five stops
The walk will pass through Faneromeni, Voro, the Ancient Port, Ampelakia and the Tomb of the Salamis Fighters. The route gives photographers a range of subjects, from landscape and architecture to memory and traces of the island’s long history.

Who can take part
The invitation is open to members of photography clubs and groups, as well as individual photographers. There is no restriction based on experience level, so beginners and amateurs can express interest alongside professionals.
Free participation and transport
Participation is free, but expressions of interest must be submitted by September 18, 2026. Interested photographers can contact the organizing club at [email protected] or by phone at 697 671 3586, 693 724 1044 and 694 548 1535.
A bus will be available during the route for participants who do not have their own means of transport.
What happens to the photographs
After the walk, each participant will be able to submit up to five photographs to the organizers. Images selected from the material received will appear in a special commemorative feature about Salamina in an issue of the fanzine “Pityousa,” alongside work by club members.
The event continues the Salamina Photography Club’s presence in the photographic community. PTTL has also featured the club’s online photographic project workshop with Kostas Masseras.
What we think
Salamina Photo Walk 2026 is interesting because it treats a photo walk as more than a simple outing with a camera. The route is organized around places with historical and visual weight, while the opportunity to submit images after the event gives participants a clear creative goal. Free participation and the provision of a bus reduce practical barriers and can bring together people with different levels of experience and different photographic perspectives.
